42nd Annual Arts Festival 

February 4-5, 2017  - (1st of weekend in February) A juried fine arts festival, for art lovers, casual festival-goers and families, nothing compares to the Mount Dora Arts Festival. In addition to the endless rows of fine art, including oil paintings, watercolors, acrylics, clay, sculpture and photography, the festival features local and regional musical entertainment.

 40th Annual Christmas Tour of Homes December 2-3, 2017 

This is a self driving tour to see the interior of 10 beautifully decorated homes for the holidays on Deer Island, Tavares. Saturday 2 - 7pm and Sunday 11am - 4pm Tickets are $20 online or $25 at the door. Optional $20.00 for lunch at the Deer Island Clubhouse. (includes entrée, soft drink, dessert , tax and tip) Proceeds go to fund scholarships for students pursuing careers in the Arts.
